Why sleep matters each and every night

When I meet a client for the first time, I always ask about sleep habits.  How many hours do you get per night?  Do you fall asleep easily?  Do you stay asleep once you’re asleep?

Sleep is one of our most important body functions to keep everything in sync and sadly, it is chronically undervalued in today’s 24/7 world.  Research says adults need 7 to 9 hours per night, however about 40 per cent of us get less than this each night.

Design your summer

Do you still get that end-of-school excited feeling as summer approaches?  With longer days, the season naturally encourages us to meet up with friends, spend more time al fresco or simply do something that’s out of our normal routine.  But this can be a bit random and at the end of August, I often find myself wishing I’d done more with the 12 weeks of the season.  So my suggestion is to design your summer.

SPF Q&A to prepare you for the summer sun

Although I have lived in the UK for over 14 years, I still think of the last weekend in May as the unofficial start to summer, thanks to years of celebrating Memorial Day in the US.  And after a week of glorious weather in London, summer does seem to have come early here this year.  Which makes it a great time to talk about sunscreen.  Yes, again!

How often should you get a facial?

Whenever someone asks what I do for work, my response is usually followed-up with questions about pressing skincare needs, such as:

How do I get rid of this spot (don’t touch it!)?
What can I do to keep from ageing (use sunscreen EVERY day)?
Do I really need to wash my face in the morning (1,000 times yes)?

One of the other common questions I’m asked is how often to get a facial.
