Paying attention to the planets

I’m experiencing a bit of writer’s block and find myself without inspiration for a topic this week. And I’ve been thinking about it for a while now.  I intended to have this all written and ready to publish before I was on holiday last week and yet I typed these words just yesterday.

I can’t be out of skincare and wellness topics to write about, can I?  And yet, when I ask myself this question, my mind seems devoid of ideas.

So rather than try to create a few more paragraphs about my lack of inspiration, I’m going to chalk this up to Mercury Retrogradeand call it a day.

What’s Mercury Retrograde? It’s the period of time when the planet Mercury appears to be spinning backwards in the sky while here on Earth, we have trouble making progress on pretty much anything.  MR happens three to four times a year and during its three-week period, it often feels like we’re wading through treacle.

This is a notoriously bad time for travel and technology.  I have first-hand experience during this retrograde and the last one in December.  During both of them, I needed to set up new electronic devices and was besieged with issues. What should have taken minutes dragged over hours and days.  Sometimes technology doesn’t make things easier.

This planetary plague seems to cry out for multiple duvet days, however this doesn't seem very practical.  So until 15 April, I’ll try to be a bit more patient with whatever life throws my way.  And remember that Mercury can also hamper communication, which is apparently why I wasn’t motivated with a particular topic for this email.

Hopefully what I’ve written here has helped to explain why you feel like things haven’t been going as smoothly as they could. Take a deep breath and think about everything improving come Monday!
